James is a Principal Adviser in the financial planning team at Brown & Bird. He joined the firm in September 1998 as a Financial Planner and an Authorised
Representative for Lonsdale Financial Group Limited.
James is a Certified Financial Planner and holds a Diploma in Financial Planning with the Financial Planning Association.
James graduated with a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) degree from the Central Queensland University in Rockhampton in 1993. James is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) and has also completed the Financial Planning Specialist Designation with the CPA’s.
James is on the local Financial Planning Association Chapter Committee, currently as Chapter Chair. James is also a committee member for the Mackay Lions Soccer Club
Inc, being involved with the club for over 25 years.
 MIKE BROWNE

Mike is a Principal Adviser in the financial planning team at Brown & Bird. He joined the firm in 2000 as an adviser and an Authorised Representative for Lonsdale Financial Group Limited.
Mike has enjoyed a career path which has given him expertise in financial services and lending, together with personal insurances. He enjoys coaching clients towards financial security by recommending strategies to their financial problems in a way that is easily understood. His ongoing support is a feature of his service that
clients appreciate.
While originally from Mackay, Mike’s career has taken him throughout Queensland. He returned to Mackay in 1989 and has advanced himself in financial planning through studies with the Financial Planning Association of Australia. He is now an Affiliate Member in addition to holding a Diploma in Financial Planning.
Mike is also actively advancing his profession via his role as president of the Mackay Financial Planning Career Development Group Incorporated.
